Star Wars Celebration 2015

Approximately 60,000 people descended on Anaheim, California this April for the 2015 Star Wars Celebration, and I was one of those people. Day 1 of the event started off like many of these events – waiting in line to then wait in another line before finally getting in and working our way through the crowded exhibit hall. But once inside, it was like stepping into a galaxy far, far away. Costumed attendees posed for pictures with each other. Everywhere I looked, there were people of all ages and backgrounds, united by their love for a fictional universe. The Force was strong here.

Since the first day was on a Thursday, there weren’t that many people dressed up, but a few did take the time to come out in costume. Mostly, however, day one was spent checking out the booths and attending a couple of seminars.

Day 2 and three of the event was quite a bit more exciting and crowded. And it was on the weekend that the fans began to dress up more.
